Perth City, Scotland The City of Perth is situated on the River Tay, some 20 miles upstream from Dundee. It is regarded as being at the centre of Scotland and as the gateway to the Highlands of Scotland.

Over the years Perth has won a number of prestigious awards in the "Britain in Bloom" competition, as well as a major national award for its "Quality of Life".

Perth's geographical position with its natural beauties make it a centre for tourism with fine residential facilities and the widest variety of interests both in and out of doors.

The population of Perth is some 42,000.

The Club is indebted to Dr. Bill Findlay, a founder member of the Perth Probus Club in 1971.

His book "The Heritage of Perth" contains a magnificent collection of photographs and commentaries on the city, both old and new, complete with commentaries.
